The 8th annual Power Pledge Challenge (PPC) will be virtual, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The partners have been planning for months to create a virtual challenge that teachers can include in their in-person, virtual, or blended classrooms this year
Teachers will have the option to:
- Utilize short, pre-recorded videos to introduce electricity concepts and calculating the cost appliance usage. OR
- Receive a virtual presentation from one or more PPC partner. OR
- A combination of the two.
The focus is for 6th, 7th, or 8th grade students (depending on the district). This year there are seven regions participating in the PPC: Anchorage, Mat-Su/Eagle River, Kenai Peninsula, Southeast, Interior, Lower Kuskokwim, and Bering Straits.
